Work has begun carving a bench out of a log to be installed in Roseburn Park to mark the park’s new beginnings following the Flood Prevention Scheme. The bench is being organised by Friends of Roseburn Park and is sponsored by Murrayfield Community Council and the City Council’s West Neighbourhood Partnership. The work is being undertaken by Four Winds Edinburgh.
Hardy annuals plant 1000 bulbs
Drop-in Park Bulb Planting!
We have been given 1000 Daffodil bulbs and these need to be planted quickly in the park. Can you help?
We have organised a ‘drop in’ event starting 10 a.m. through to 3.30 p.m. on Sunday 17th December at the Armoury building.
While some gardening tools are available, it would help if you could bring your own. Tools such as spade, trowel or dibber would be useful. Bring friends and family. All ages welcome including accompanied children.
You can still have your say about what to do with the site of the old play park

on the bench immediately north of the new bund/mound (up from the old play park).

CycleWalk Consultation Survey Report and Next Steps
The consultation results for the park Cycling/Walking consultation are now available here:
https://consultationhub.edinburgh.gov.uk/sfc/design-cycle-walk-roseburn-park/
The City Council now awaits:
- funding confirmation from Sustrans
- followed by a procurement procedure (which includes this and other schemes combined into one contract)
It is thought to be unlikely that any work in the park will start before autumn. The nature of the work can found in the detailed reports available through the link.
Cyclewalk survey responses lost – Council requests resubmission.
It transpires that the City Council’s online survey provider did not record the park cyclewalk survey responses because of a digital fault. So they are opening the consultation again until 26 February. If you submitted a response before 20 January, it is hoped you will do it again. The website is: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/cyclewalk
Shout out
Just a shout out to http://www.bcgwebdesign.co.uk/website/ who not only built our website but have generously hosted it for years. Thanks, Bruce!
And to Alan Lander, a Chartered Financial Analyst at https://www.walterscott.co.uk/, who has scrutinised our accounts for nothing, for ages, even though he lives on the other side of the city. Thanks, Alan!
