Roseburn Park in WW2 film

See this film- two minutes in, as a mob of WW2 Wardens try to cross the Water of Leith at Riversdale on their bikes, to get their vital message to the Armoury:

.. and you can see the Wardens actually getting there, 17 minutes later in the film, as the reports arrive at the Armoury.

See within, the ladies behind hatches taking secret messages – in what I can only imagine is the wall near the Cricket Club’s tea urn.

 

Launch of table tennis and chess tables

The launch of the new park table tennis table will be on 18th May 2013 at 10.30 in the park  (in the area around the various buildings).  There will also be:

– a table tennis tournament at 11.00
– a chess tournament at 11.00
– a treasure hunt (under 8s) at 11.00
– a treasure hunt (over 8s) at 12.00

 

FoRP AGM Tue 18 June 2013

Members are notified that the AGM will be held on Tuesday 18th June 2013 at 7pm.

The venue is the Saughtonhall Community Association Hall, 22a Saughtonhall Avenue, Edinburgh.

The current constitution can be found under ‘Management Info’ on this website.

The current management committee will propose a new constitution, to precede an application to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator for FoRP to become a charitable organisation.  The proposed new constitution can be found under ‘Management Info’.

Proposed amendments or enquiries about the proposed constitution are requested prior to the meeting.

This proposed accounts for 2012/13 will be available under ‘Management Info’ prior to the meeting.
